Infrastructure Security Engineer TS/SCI
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in secure software development and deployment within Department of Defense (DoD) environments. This role requires a strong background in DevSecOps methodologies, cloud platforms, and automation tools. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in GitLab (GTLB), AWS, Elastic Stack, and Apache NiFi, and has a working understanding of RMF. Prior experience in intelligence community (IC) environments is highly desirable. This position is perfect for a technical leader who understands how to integrate security at every phase of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps best practices
Leverage GitLab for version control, CI/CD automation, and secure code scanning
Deploy, configure, and monitor systems and microservices within AWS environments
Integrate Elastic Stack for logging, metrics, and operational observability
Build and manage secure data flows using Apache NiFi
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to align practices with RMF requirements
Conduct security assessments and implement automated security controls across the SDLC
Work with developers, infrastructure teams, and cyber engineers to improve the overall security posture
Support the development of DevSecOps policies, procedures, and toolkits for enterprise adoption
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to cross-functional engineering teams
Must Have's:
10–15 years of experience in DevSecOps or secure software engineering within DoD environments
Strong proficiency in GitLab (GTLB) for CI/CD pipelines and code repository management
Hands-on experience with AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and security controls
Familiarity with Apache NiFi
Working knowledge of RMF and its application in software development
Prior experience supporting DoD programs
Excellent communication and documentation skills
IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
AWS Certified Security Specialty (SCS-C02)
Nice to Have's:
Experience in intelligence community (IC) or classified environments
Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Experience implementing zero trust architectures or secure enclave strategies

$180,000 - $200,000 per year
