Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with extensive experience in land development and public works. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing engineering design teams, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and working closely with clients and public agencies. The role requires expertise in site assessment, regulatory plans, and construction support services, as well as advanced knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise engineering design teams, ensuring project goals are met.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of regulatory and public improvement plans.
  • Lead client and public-agency interactions, ensuring strong relationships and project success.
  • Conduct site assessments and constructability reviews.
  • Provide construction support services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Expertly navigate Los Angeles and Ventura County Public Works for project processing.

Must Have's:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
  • California Professional Civil Engineer Registration is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in land development or public works.
  • At least 8 years of management experience, supervising engineers, designers, and project support staff.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Bluebeam is required.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships with clients and public agencies.


Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Salary: $135,200 - $149,760
