We are seeking a Jr. PM Technician (Austin, TX) to support the maintenance, inspection, and repair of boiler systems and mechanical equipment. This entry-level technician will play a key role in ensuring reliable system operation through preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and high-quality customer service.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and motivated to grow within the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and perform necessary repairs

  • Clean boiler rooms and associated mechanical equipment to maintain safety and performance standards

  • Perform yearly combustion testing and wet-side inspections

  • Troubleshoot basic electrical systems (high voltage 120V and low voltage 24V)

  • Participate in on-call duty rotation (typically one week every 6–8 weeks)

  • Work independently on assigned tasks while staying motivated and focused

  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams

  • Prioritize multiple tasks and projects under deadlines without compromising quality

  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times

  • Travel out of town as needed

  • Work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Must Have's:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Up to 1 year of experience in mechanical repairs and equipment cleanup

  • Up to 1 year of experience working with hot water boiler systems

  • Proficiency using a computer and iPhone

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Physically able to work on and around boiler equipment and complete tasks independently

Nice to Have's:

  • Boiler Operator License

  • Licensed plumber

  • Interest in growing into a full PM Technician role with mentorship support

Location:
Austin, TX (with travel as required)

Salary:
$20–$25 per hour, based on experience
