4356 -Mammographer

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammograms and providing direct patient care, with a particular focus on female patients over the age of 13. They ensure adherence to organizational values, mission, and vision while maintaining competency in patient care and safety practices. Additionally, they are required to maintain a specific number of patient exams and continuing education hours.

Requirements:

• Adherence to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Alignment of all job responsibilities with the organization's core values, mission, and vision.
• Completion of required duties according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintenance of current knowledge through ongoing education and training.
• Attendance at staff meetings, mandatory in-services, and competency evaluations.
• Demonstrated competency in providing care to patients of all demographics, with a focus on age-specific customer service.
• Utilization of appropriate protective clothing and equipment.

Must Have's:

• Vocational/Technical Degree in a relevant field (Required)
• 0-1 year of experience in Mammography (Required)
• Certified Mammography (M)(ARRT) certification (Required)
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical abilities with proficiency in grammar, spelling, and comprehension of instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Near-normal vision with the ability to distinguish colors.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions.

Physical Demands:

• Continuously standing, bending/stooping, twisting at the waist, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level within the shift.
• Frequently walking.
• Occasionally sitting and lifting/carrying > 20 lbs with assistance.

Working Conditions:

• Works in a well-lit, air-conditioned environment with moderate noise levels.
• May be exposed to limited hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms.
• Ability to transition between tasks efficiently and maintain composure under fluctuating workloads.
• May be scheduled for overtime as needed.

Salary: $29 - $40 /hour
