Software Configuration Manager TS/SCI
We are seeking a Software Configuration Manager to oversee the configuration, documentation, and version control of critical software systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who understands the intersection of configuration management and information assurance (IA) in secure environments. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and traceability of software baselines throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that security, compliance, and quality standards are consistently met in support of Department of Defense (DoD) and federal programs.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain software configuration management (SCM) processes, tools, and documentation in line with project and customer requirements
Establish and enforce configuration control policies for software baselines, including versioning, builds, and releases
Maintain the integrity and security of configuration items according to information assurance best practices
Coordinate and execute configuration audits to verify compliance with program and government standards
Collaborate with development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and QA teams to support all phases of the software lifecycle
Implement automation tools and scripts to enhance traceability, reproducibility, and software deployment
Manage documentation and artifacts to remain compliant with RMF and other regulatory frameworks
Provide regular reporting on configuration status, accounting, and change control processes to internal and client stakeholders
Must Have's:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
Proven experience in software configuration management within secure or federal environments
Familiarity with information assurance (IA) principles and their integration into software/system security
Proficiency with SCM tools such as Git, GitLab CI/CD, Subversion, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and baseline control
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on documentation and accuracy
IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
Nice to Have's:
Experience supporting DoD or federal programs, with knowledge of RMF, NIST, or DoD STIGs
Knowledge of Agile and/or DevSecOps methodologies
Certifications such as CISSP, Certified Configuration Manager (CCM), or advanced IA credentials
Experience with automated build/deployment pipelines, CI/CD, or containerized environments (e.g., Docker)

$150,000 - $180,000 per year
