Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist to join their laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and timely results for patients. The Medical Technologist will work closely with the Laboratory Director, Pathologists, and Technologists to maintain high standards of laboratory operations. This is a full-time position working the evening shift (1:00 pm - 11:00 pm) on a 7 on / 7 off rotation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect specimens for laboratory examination using venipuncture and various culture techniques.
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze results with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring quality control procedures are documented.
  • Accurately enter and retrieve patient results while maintaining records and logs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency codes, traumas, and urgent medical situations.
  • Report STAT results within 60 minutes and perform manual tests when required.
  • Set up bacterial cultures on appropriate media.

Must Haves:

  • Certification: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification through ASCP, AMT, or equivalent (Required).
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field (Required).
  • Authorization: Must have prior work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Vernal, UT (Required).

Nice to Haves:

  • Hospital laboratory experience is preferred.


Location: Vernal, Utah (On-site, in-person position)

Salary Range: $50,905 - $65,738
