Join our client's team. Unit 31, a 32-bed acute medical surgical unit specializing in renal, stroke, and urology patients. With an average daily census of 24-27 patients, our client provides comprehensive care for chronic and acute renal disease patients, often with comorbid conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and infectious wounds. Additionally, our client offers care for acute stroke patients post-stabilization from their ICU. Our cliet's patient population ranges from young adults to geriatrics. Our client's mission is to deliver exceptional care through evidence-based practices and thorough discharge teaching to prevent or delay subsequent hospitalizations. 

Must Have's:

  • Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Preferred six (6) months of experience.
  • Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within two (2) weeks of employment.
  • Current NIHSS certification at the time of hire or within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs, or completion within 12 months of hire for new graduate nurses, and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Current Arrhythmia Recognition certification at the time of hire or within 8 weeks of hire for experienced RNs, or completion within 6 months for new graduate nurses, and maintain certification thereafter.
