Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager for the Mother/Baby Care Unit to lead and oversee all department functions while supporting the mission, vision, and goals of the facility. This role involves critical decision-making, fostering patient safety, managing personnel and resources, and driving process improvements to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety and quality of care in the Postpartum and Newborn Nursery practice environments.
  • Utilize effective communication and information management skills daily.
  • Build upon ANA Standards of Care and Standards of Professional Practice.
  • Act as a liaison to foster strong partnerships with patients and their families.
  • Support care continuity and coordination across various care settings.
  • Maintain age- and development-specific care standards for infant to adult populations.
  • Drive Women's Health initiatives and oversee process improvements.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare team members.
  • Manage multiple levels of personnel, including supervisory positions, and oversee payroll, budgets, capital, and business plans.
  • Build and maintain strong physician relationships and serve as a liaison for the hospital, community, and other institutions.
  • Organize and supervise the allocation of human and material resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a Mother/Baby Unit (2 years may be considered with supervisor-level experience managing people and process improvements).
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.

Nice to Haves:

  • Strong background in acute care settings with expertise in managing Mother/Baby Units.
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing Women's Health initiatives and process improvement strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.

Location:  Dallas, Texas

Salary: $84,000 to $125,000
