Our client is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team at an Outpatient Breast Center located in Houston, TX. This newly opened, mid-level position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality mammography imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be skilled in radiologic and mammography technology, focused on exceptional patient care, and committed to professional excellence.

Responsibilities:

Perform mammography radiographic exams while ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
Prepare patients for imaging exams, including explaining procedures, administering contrast when necessary, and positioning patients appropriately.
Monitor and accurately enter patient data into the system.
Ensure the technical quality of all images produced for diagnostic purposes.
Conduct quality assurance on mammography equipment and assist with accreditation applications (e.g., ACR).
Identify and promptly report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.
Participate in emergency call assignments as required.
Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors.
Promote professional growth through ongoing education and skills competency.
Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Graduate of an accredited program in Mammography Technology.
Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) (Required).
Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) (Required).
Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M) (Required).
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS).

Nice to Haves:

Prior experience as a Mammography Technologist.
Previous experience working in an outpatient imaging center.
Ability to lift and safely maneuver patients as part of job duties.

Location: Houston, TX
Shift for this position is 4/10hr shifts, M-Sat, rotating off days. Saturday requirement is 1 Sat every 4th week.

Salary: $68,000 - $95,000

Partial relocation assistance is available.
